Hello, I’m Monica! Nice to meet you!
I’m a woman with just about every title a woman can have (Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, etc…), and I proudly add kidney disease survivor to the list. I developed Chronic Kidney Disease at 37, went on dialysis at 41, and received a new kidney at 43 (while a transplant is awesome, it’s not a cure). The biggest things that kept me going was my faith in God and my organization. I always felt at peace when I knew what was (or what was potentially) coming next.
I’ve been a graphic designer for almost 25 years and am in the process of adding illustration to my list of abilities. In the past I’ve worked with a telecom company, various churches, a gym, million dollar real estate agencies, a worldwide syndicated television show, and many others. I’ve been known to randomly recreate a logo for a small business or non-profit for free because the current one looked outdated, too busy, or was just plain bad design. I love and am inspired by the success of others, so if there’s anything I can do to make that happen, I will do it.
That’s the foundation of my corner. Yours is probably different.
I came up with Create Your Corner because there are so many people in the world who aren’t comfortable in their lives. Your corner may or may not be physical, but that’s not the point. The point is to find and use the things that bring you comfort in any situation.
I decided to do this after consistently being asked by many people (doctors, nurses, friends, family, even random people I don’t know!) how I’m able to stay on top of everything going on in my life. In short, my corner requires will, organization, determination, and most of all, faith. Will and determination automatically come for me when my faith and organization are in top shape.
So what can I do to help you with your corner? For starters I will provide free digital monthly Bible Study Guides, and digital planner stickers. I will also offer products to encourage you and design tips to inspire you. If there’s anything else you think I can help you with, I’d love to hear it.
In the meantime, I encourage you to sign up for my newsletter so you can stay in touch with me. I only send them once or twice a month, and always with something free!
