Faith in God’s Word

Finding faith in God’s word can sound overwhelming, but if you read the Bible for understanding, you’ll find it isn’t that difficult. There are countless instances (although I’m sure somebody has probably counted them) of people putting their faith in God’s covenant, promises, and all of His holiness.

But what do you do with all of those wonderful examples? Learn from them, and then apply them to your life! This month we’ll be spending a lot of time with Paul and reading about how he encouraged the new churches being built. Doing new things, especially life-changing things, is usually when your faith is needed the most. We learn from reading Paul’s letters that there will be times when it feels like things are going off the rails, but if we keep holding on to God’s unchanging hand, and never let go of our faith, God will strengthen us, our endeavors, and most of all our faith.

Also this month, many will observe the holy days of Jesus’ ascension and Pentecost. Whether you celebrate these days within your congregation or not, I encourage you to study more about these wonderful moments in the Bible. I’ve included this in the workbook this month, but feel free to dig deeper!

I pray that something you read this month will inspire you to share your strengthened faith with someone you love.
