God’s justice is different from our vision of justice. As the ultimate judge, and knower of all things, He’s able to see things from all points of view and make decisions from there. When we say “no justice, no peace”, God says, “Know Me, know peace”.
Think about that.
Know God
It’s so simple and yet we do all the things that make it complicated, don’t we!
There has always been injustice in this world, beginning with Adam and Eve, and through it all, God has managed to provide resolutions that are just. Of course, sometimes His judgments were pretty harsh, and that’s how we got to Jesus on the cross, (that’s a study for a different month) yet without those judgments, we wouldn’t be able to appreciate and accept our gift of salvation. That’s how God’s justice works!
This month we’ll be studying God’s justice and some of the ways that He brought peace through His judgments. We’ll spend time with the Prophets Isaiah and Jeremiah and learn how God used them to bring about justice. We’ll also look at the fall of Nineveh towards the end of the month, and learn about how God destroyed the city to avenge the oppressed.
I pray that something you read this month will inspire you to share your knowledge of God’s Justice with someone you love.
