Joy to the World the Lord is come! Not has, not will, but IS! Let’s do a quick dive on how this grammar works, shall we?
We all know that the Lord came to mankind for the first time over two thousand years ago, born as a babe in a manger, right? And we all know that He died on the cross and three days later He came back again. Furthermore, we also know (and believe) that He has promised us that He will come back again for good. Those are the basics of the how and the will.
So how do we get to The Lord Is Come?
Because he is! If you have accepted Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior then He is residing in your heart right now. So we can joyfully say The Lord Is Come because every single day people are making room for Him in our hearts to receive our King. It is a present tense, not a past or a future tense. The Lord is presently coming into our hearts.
This month we will be studying many of the prophecies that preceded Jesus’s birth. We will also spend some time in the New Testament going over how well those prophecies turned out. Spoiler alert they turned out perfectly!
As we bring 2021 to a close, I’d like to thank you for being here to keep me going. Making these guides is part of the glue that bonds my relationship with Christ. If you weren’t here to read this, I’d have stopped long ago!
As you consider resolutions for the new year, I encourage you to find a habit that will hold you accountable for your growth with God. Maybe you can start a blog or podcast chronicling your journey. Or maybe have a weekly date with a little one to share a Bible story. Whatever it is, commit to it and enhance your life to be more Christ-centered
I pray that something you read this year has motivated you to share your story and inspire others to invite Jesus into their hearts.
Have a Merry Christmas!

P.S. This month’s wallpaper is extremely special to me. I spent over 20 hours on it. It’s a reference to this beautiful photograph but unfortunately, the photographer did not give me permission to use it as a reference publicly. So sadly I cannot give you one this month, but here’s where you can get a print and other merch of the original photograph.
