This month we will learn about some of the mighty works of faith that led to Christianity. From Joseph accepting Mary to Paul writing letters.

Mighty Works of Faith

Think about everything you did yesterday. Were your works mighty and full of faith? Who even thinks about that kind of thing during a regular workday? I certainly don’t.

Looking back in history, though, plenty of people did minor things that turned out to be life-changing events. Sure, when they did it they didn’t think it was anything out of the ordinary, but that little thing changed the course of many lives in the long term.

Ever heard of a secretary named Rosa Parks? Her long day at work and the need to get off of her feet for a while led to a boycott and an act of Congress. As the old man in the Barbershop movie controversially said, all she did was sit down, but look at what that seat led to! A mighty work!

Watergate’s Forgotten Hero: Frank Wills, Night Watchman

What about Frank Wills? You may not have heard of him, but he was a security guard who changed the course of history. He was doing his midnight rounds like normal and took some tape off of a door lock in a little hotel called the Watergate. On his second time around he saw new tape put back on the same door and immediately called the police. That’s it! Frank doing his job led to the resignation of the President of the United States!

Little things mean a lot.

This month we will learn about some of the mighty works of faith that led to Christianity. From Joseph faithfully accepting Mary in her condition to Paul writing a few letters from his prison cell. We will study some of the things that started off as simple everyday acts and led to our knowledge of Christ. As always, you’ll be prompted to think about certain situations, and what life is like for you today in relation to the context. The goal is to motivate you to be intentionally faithful in your daily life because you never know when God will use you.

I pray that something you read this month will inspire you to share your faith with others.
