The concept of growth through justice is not something most people think about, yet itβs something we all go through starting at a young age. How many lessons have you learned over the years because you got in trouble? When you choose to do something you know youβre not supposed to do, you should expect some sort of punishment, right? Often times that doesnβt happen (so we think). βGetting away with itβ can feel like the ultimate high, until you realize your mom counted the cookies before she put them in the jar. Then what do you do? Fess up or act like you arenβt her only child?
Learn From It
This month we will learn about many of the lessons taught to Godβs people through His judgments and justice. As Iβm sure you can guess, this will be an Old Testament-heavy month since Jesus came along and took our punishments for us. Weβll also learn about a series of injustices and the punishments that God gave out. The goal is to learn from the mistakes of others so we can grow without having to learn those same lessons directly.
I pray that something you read this month will help you achieve growth through justice and gain more faith in God’s mercy. I also pray for your spiritual strength so you can share His goodness with others.Β
Blessings,
