Renewal with God’s love feels secure, stable, and comforting. It’s a change, and that’s not always easy, but including love from our Heavenly Father can make it go much smoother.
From birth, we learn to depend on the love of certain people in our lives. Our parents, siblings, extended family, and then the new family we create as we become adults. That type of unconditional love feels safe and neverending, right? But what happens when it goes away? How do you manage the trauma of losing life-long love?
God’s Healing and Renewing Love
Everyone will experience the loss of love. After all, we are all fellow travelers to the grave in this life, right? That’s why it’s so important to depend on God’s love instead of Earthly love. As the giver of life, His love is truly eternal and can be felt at all times, even in our lowest moments. Whether we’ve lost love, or just need a renewed view of the world around us, God is holding and comforting us as we grow through difficult times.
This month we will spend time with Jesus. While He tells the disciples that the world will make them suffer, He assures them that He has defeated the world and that God loves them. Be confident that He loves you, too!
I pray that something you read this month will help you (or someone you love) through your renewal and encourage you to lean on God’s love.
