Trusting God Through Prayer

The Bible is full of stories about people trusting God through prayer. From Esther, David, and Job, to Mary, Jesus, and Paul, God has provided because of their prayer and trust. In fact, one can arguably point out that this is one of the main reasons why the Bible exists. These stories are inspiring and motivating to have a closer relationship with The Lord.Β

God is Listening

Lent is upon us once again, which means it’s time to commemorate the 40 days that Jesus spent in the desert fasting and praying while dealing with satan and his temptation. Jesus already knew His Heavenly Father would take care of Him, yet He still prayed. That’s what gave Him the strength to keep going and not give in to temptation. He trusted that God would let Him survive so that He could complete His mission.Β

Prayer helps to strengthen your trust in God, and His promise to provide. There will be times when that trust will be put to the test and you’ll only have prayer to lean on.Β

This month we’ll be hanging out mostly with the Psalms. We’ll go over some of the many different ways that we can trust God with our prayers. Things like fear, protection, repentance, and human kindness are important reasons to depend on Him.

I pray that something you read this month will strengthen your trust, faith, and prayer life with God.

Blessings,
