Mercy and Grace. They go together like peas and carrots, peanut butter and jelly, beaches and waves… you get the picture. God has mercifully given us grace because He knows how difficult we can be when it comes to following His law. Yet on top of all that unconditional mercy and grace, He threw in an everlasting dollop of forgiveness!
Just like our money, we should do our best to make the most of it and not be frivolous with these precious gifts. 1 John 1:9 says that “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” This is a perfect example of how we can extend God’s mercy and grace upon our lives. This month we will study other ways to extend God’s mercy and grace and apply it to our daily living. We’ll be reading sections of the old testament that aren’t so popular, like Hosea and Joel, and learning about how God’s mercy and grace affected the people who were around before Jesus was born.
As always, I pray that this study guide will help you grow even stronger in God’s word and enhance your relationship with Him in ways you couldn’t even imagine!
